Preferred Suppliers
Print

Designated as Preferred Suppliers of THE UNITED GROUP, the selected vendors pay a marketing allowance, and optional growth allowance, to the group’s Member Stockholders (independent distributors) on each of their purchases.

Today, 150 Preferred Suppliers, offering thousands of products, are allied with THE UNITED GROUP. Their number includes three redistributor organizations, as well as vendors of technical services, such as electronic catalogs and distributor-sales software programs.

The Member Stockholders, who choose to belong to THE UNITED GROUP’s market-segment committees, review and select outstanding vendors from the following markets:

  • Janitorial/sanitary
  • Foodservice
  • Industrial-packaging
  • Safety equipment and products

Outstanding vendors of janitorial/sanitary, foodservice, industrial-packaging and/or safety equipment and products can enhance their profitability by aligning with THE UNITED GROUP® as Preferred Suppliers.  Group alliance offers Preferred Suppliers the following advantages:

  • 350 potential customers among the group’s Stockholder Members (independent distributors), all of whom have been qualified by the group
  • Annual National Conference at which Preferred Suppliers can conduct over 60 table-top sales meetings with Member Stockholders, thus eliminating the cost in time and money of traveling to each distributor’s location
  • Social events at the National Conference, such as opening reception, awards banquet, theme party, golf tournament and meals, at which Preferred Suppliers can solidify relationships with the Member Stockholders
  • Marketing of their company attributes and products to the Member Stockholders via the group’s four-color, quarterly news-and-marketing magazine United Connects
  • Distributor information on www.unitedgroup.com, the website of THE UNITED GROUP, as well as a link to each Preferred Supplier’s website for use by the Member Stockholders
  • Annual review meetings with the group’s administrative staff and members of the Board of Directors at which to plan strategy for building business with the Member Stockholders
